440 NEC LCD Screens installed in ASDA by MVS

Since 2002, MVS have supplied installed and maintained the Audio-Visual system within every one of the 326 supermarkets nationwide.

Since April 2006, the NEC LCD 32inch screen has been part of Asda’ specification. The unique “Asda Chart Show” video is displayed on the NEC screens. MVS worked with Asda’ design team to ensure that the screens are a perfect fit in the header panels.

Asda is an Every Day Low Prices supermarket chain. The Home & Leisure market including entertainments is a successful part of the Asda offer.

• Project design – MVS has built collaborative relationships with all of the key stakeholders from the Video production team, through the merchandising and trading teams, and of course the design team both at Asda house and amongst Asda’ design consultants. Individual projects are meticulously laid out using CAD and D-Tools.
  
• Project planning and management – MVS meets regularly with colleagues involved with development and fixturisation, construction and shopfitting companies. Programme schedules are agreed upon to meet deadlines and Asda’ trading patterns.
  
• Health & Safety – MVS complies fully with CDM (Contract Design Management) requirements and Asda’s own stringent health & safety policies. MVS prepares risk assessments and method statements for each installation.
  
• Installation & Commissioning – following installation, MVS support store colleagues with equipment demonstrations and training that includes simple fault finding.
  
• Maintenance – MVS provide a full onsite warranty for all parts and labour. Technical support, regular visits and collaborating with facilities management colleagues ensures a smooth running reliable operation.
